Savings and Livelihood Resilience (SACCO Formation)

This initiative supports economic stability through the formation of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), helping families build financial resilience and entrepreneurial capacity.

Activities:

Sensitize Zion Shelter-supported families on the importance of saving.

Facilitate formation of 5 VSLA groups with 20–25 members each.

Train VSLA members in savings, loans, and simple record-keeping.

Provide lockboxes, ledgers, and savings kits.

Conduct bi-monthly mentorship meetings and monitor performance.

Link groups to microfinance institutions for scaling business efforts.
